Are you anxious, depressed, or having trouble in relationships?

Mindfulness Can Set You on a New Path

What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness is not a new idea, but it has been more recently used in the world of psychology to treat anxiety, depression, and stress related problems. Mindfulness involves a way of being present with our current experiences. We can practice this presence with exercises that train our attention. The benefits include being able to see what has gotten in our way more clearly, and to be less caught up in the worries and harmful thoughts that often plague us.

About Dr. Vaughn

In almost 20 years in private practice I have acquired many techniques to treat common mental health problems. More recently, I have been interested in using the theories and practices of mindfulness to treat these problems. To enhance my knowledge and skills, I recently completed a certificate training course in mindfulness with some of the top experts in the field. I can work with you to see how mindfulness fits in your life. My approach will give you better understanding, tools, and techniques to better navigate the difficult ups and downs of life.

Benefits of Mindfulness

Mindfulness has been shown to be effective in treating the following problems:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Addictions
  • Harmful habits
  • Chronic Pain
  • Relationship difficulties

When mindfulness is practiced regularly, it can have benefits beyond individual problems. In general, mindfulness helps us to be more flexible in dealing with stressors, and more accepting of life’s inevitable struggles.

Online Course

I love sharing mindfulness with my clients. But as a therapist whose schedule is often full, I wanted to find options that would allow me to reach more people. I know there are many of you out there who feel alone in your struggles and are searching for help. Because I would love to share mindfulness with more people like you, I am creating an online course.
